Meet these powerful members of our practice…

The Erchonia FX635, Erchonia XLR8, and our Erchonia EVRLs are FDA market cleared lasers.  Commonly, these are referred to as cold  lasers or low level laser therapy.  We prefer to use this term instead of cold laser because the patient does not feel anything when the laser is running!

The regenerative powers of this low level laser technology can reduce inflammation and eliminate pain while increasing the rate of cellular healing.  This process of cellular regeneration is often referred to as photobiomodulation.  In other words, the laser utilizes light energy to impact cells and enhance their natural processes.

So who is it good for?  Quite simply, everyone!  The only potential contraindications would be for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with a pacemaker or defibrillator, active cancer or having been treated for cancer in the last year, and those currently taking medications that make them light sensitive.  Both of these lasers have the 605nm wavelength light which has been shown to help with all of the conditions outlined below. The Erchonia EVRL also has a 405 nm laser which has been shown to have strong anti microbial and anti fungal effects. This feature is particularly helpful around surgical sites, burns, and other bites or wounds or for acne issues.

Conditions that research have shown it helps include:

  • Cervical spine pain

  • Disc herniations and injuries

  • Frozen shoulder

  • Rotator cuff injuries

  • Tennis or Golfer's elbow

  • Tendinitis

  • Tendinosis

  • Post surgical sites

  • Plantar Fascitis

  • Concussion

  • Alzheimer's

  • Dementia

  • Parkinson's

  • PANDAS/PANS

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • AND MANY MORE!

I am a level 10 gymnast and I currently train 20 hours a week. Throughout my entire gymnastics career I have faced many injuries involving basically every part of my body. I have tried so many things to help them heal the right way and sometimes they do and sometimes they do not quite heal all the way. Towards the beginning of the year 2018, I got a concussion. Before, my concussion I was going to Dr. Kevin already for my spine. I was doing a tumbling pass on floor and I lost where I was in the air and landed straight on my right shoulder and my back. All I could think of was the rest of my season and wondering how in the world I am going to continue it with a messed up head, shoulder, and back. My head healed over time and I was frequently getting my back adjusted and going to the chiropractor so it would heal. My shoulder just would not heal. I tried physical therapy multiple times and it did not work. I was off bars for months because my shoulders could not take the pulling. Recently I started using laser therapy at Restorative Chiropractic. I have done it 6 times so far and I have seen a huge difference already. My pain has decreased a lot since before I was doing it and I have been able to return to a lot more skills on uneven bars. I am continuing to do it since it is working so well. I definitely recommend it to anyone who has been struggling with an injury for a while and who has tried pretty much everything in order to heal. This has been a huge success and I am so happy that I made the decision to try it.
