Loaded with nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory ingredients that gently detoxify the liver and body, this smoothie is an ideal health-promoting treat or meal replacement.
1 cup full-fat coconut milk*
1/2 medium beet, peeled & chopped
1/2 granny smith apple, seeded & cored
1 cup fresh dandelion greens
1 carrot, chopped
1/2 cup ice
1 scoop vanilla or unflavored/unsweetened Paleo Protein or Paleo Meal**
1 inch fresh turmeric, peeled or 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Pinch black pepper
Wholesome sweetener to taste, if needed
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. If using a high-speed blender, add the protein after the rest of the ingredients are pureed to ensure proteins are not damaged. Pulse the smoothie to incorporate the delicate proteins.
*Avocado and filtered water make a nice substitution for milk. Keep in mind that healthy fats are key for proper body function, blood sugar regulation, and satiety.
